2.7TDV6 2006, Turbo Actuator stuck in vertical position

Can I repair, change or fix the actuator on the car? When I remove the access cover behind the front LHS wheel arch I can see the top of the actuator. I push it with a long prod and it is solid. Also when I turn on the ignition I can hear the actuator motor trying to work.

Can I fix, replace the actuator on the car with body in place?

Not really.

The veins on the inside of the turbo maybe sooted up.

Put some vvt cleaner in the fuel tank

Sadly I think it's been like this for I've a year. I want to try to free the actuat or. I'll do the carbon clean as you advise. If for no other train than its probably overdue. A lot had come all at once. Brakes, discs, pads and not the front LHS shafts needs replacing. If the body has to come off then the car can go for scrap. I've had enough. If the actuator can be freed I'm give it a go. I juse wondered if there was a fix without removing the body. Did I mention that the hand brake middle need attention also. I do the work and it saves a lot. Almost renewed everything now

If you manage to free it off, then I would only ever use Premium Diesel in the future. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

So I've been researching and both the actuator arm sticks and the vanes soot up. Got some Kano Kroil for releasing the arm. Is it OK to use releasing fluid on the internals of the vanes. I can remove the exhaust bellows and get liquid into the turbine chamber.

don't see why not.

If you have got the exhaust off, you may as well change the turbo! Laughing so be prepared for that

front prop shaft has to come out for access (for both I guess)
