Hi I have a tdv8 that every now and then get like an exhaust blow from left side of engine if I turn off and restart all ok

I'm no expert but you might need to give a bit more info:
From your posts 2010 facelift with which engine? (helps if you stick it in your signature)
Mileage on the car?
Do you mean driver side or passenger side?
Area of engine noise is coming from- manifold at top, bottom etc?
Checked the pipes for split/ leak?
Any change in performance?

Hi this is a 2007 with a 3.6 tdv88 . It belongs to my cousin and he said it drives ok then it will start making a sound like a blowing exhaust . Sound coming from n/s engine but when he turns it off and restarts engine it is ok for a while will try and find some more info later

I have spoken to my cousin and he gets a loss of power but no warning on dash but if he turns engine off then back on it clears it so could it be the waste gate sticking
