They can cause a problem but so long as the ones you get are reasonable quality e.g. Osram, you should be ok. I think it's the cheap-as-chips ebay ones that are the biggest culprit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I've replaced bulbs with good quality ones with no problems. Barrie.

One of the first things I did on my old D3, used genuine LR bulbs, bought a couple of spares as well. I had a couple of ESF turbo warning lights on the dash, changed the bulbs, no more issues. I used up the last one the other week on the wife's' Mokka (I know, don't laugh). |

I think you will find that Oshino are OEM suppliers to JLR In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Well I went to my local motor factors and explained about the bulb. Hella he said is a good brand, so I got it. Got home and fitted it, then drove away to take the dogs out. The car would now not change gear but would manually. I got to my destination relatively locally and found that all 3 brake lights were permanently on with the lights switched on. With the lights off all 3 were still lit with the ignition on. I removed the bulb and all returned to the previous fault. At the mo I have 2 brake lights and will drop by the dealer on Monday, probably get a spare bulb kit while I’m there to make the journey worthwhile.

Check that bulbs have not been fitted the wrong way round. If the pins are not staggered this is a possibility.

I went to Halfords this morning and purchased GE branded bulb (3 times the life) & the most expensive. Fitted the bulb and everything works as designed. I retrieved the blown bulb which was Osram.
