Telestart T91 FBH - Help needed

I've fitted a Telestart T91 to my 2012 RRS along with uploading files from my IIDTool. I'm struggling with the fob. This morning without opening the car and before the car was started I pressed the 'On' button on the fob, held down for about a second until an orange light appeared on the Fob. Then a green light on the fob started to flash once every three seconds for about 20min but when I went to the car the heater hadn't fired up, it was still cold inside... Big Cry

I'm now wondering if I installed the right files? Are there two files one for just timed climate (which works fine when I tested it) and another one for the remote? If I've installed the wrong file how do I go about installing the right file? will it just overwrite the first wrong file that I installed? I just tested the timed climate sitting in the car and it fired up using the onscreen controls but not when I tried to fire it up by pressing the 'ON' button the remote fob?

One other thing, as it was a second hand unit with fob do I have to pair them again (I haven't done this) I assumed they are already paired which the last owner assured me they have been but because the Telestart unit has been disconnected from the power supply for a while will I need to pair the remote and the Telestart unit again?

Once all working does it all work off the temp and fan settings in the car ie should I leave both fan & temp set to high before switching the car off or does the unit come on at a pre set heat? Cheers Laurence.

Yes there is 2 settings than need changing in the ccf park heating with remote and park.heating with fuel fires heating. I think from memory.
They both look similar but you need to add both .

You need to edit the CCF and the EUCD

CCF heating and Ventilation Park heater "enabled"

EUCD --EUCD Heating and Ventilation Additional Heater: "Fuel Fired Park Heater FFPH"

EUCD--EUCD Heating and Ventilation-- Call start of parking heater: Call start of Parking heater accessory only ( via radio only)

if using the remote fob then change the last setting to "radio".

But remember to let the car go to sleep afterwards..

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thought it was my error!
Just to confirm I can still use both remote fob and timed climate on screen by changing these settings? Cheers Laurence.

Is this right?

Now got every fault under the sun showing ? What on Earth has happened??

Think I've sorted the faults out? They wasn't showing on the IID Tool so turned off the car let go to sleep and restarted all seems good now.... Bow down Cheers Laurence.

So apart from enabling 'Timed Climate' which I'll go and do now everything is right for times and using the remote? Cheers Laurence.

Cycle the ignition twice,,,? this is where I might have gone wrong before and got all those faults come up? so switch the car off after settings are changed (leave the IID Tool plugged in or not?) then press button once so ignition on then press button again for ignition off. Once again for ignition on then off then I'm good to start? Thumbs Up Cheers Laurence.

yes leave the iid tool in (it should tell you to cycle the ignition once the ccf has been uploaded anyway

turn ignition off and on again

let the car go to sleep 10 mins and you should then be good to go

Now the remote is working.. Thumbs Up , switching the fans on but the FBH isn't firing up? so just air from outside being blown in. When I changed the settings earlier the car was doing it's test with the IID still plugged in the FHB fired up I see smoke coming out from under the wheel arch I must have one of the settings wrong - How can this be so hard.... Banging Head Cheers Laurence.

Can anyone tell me why the FBH isnโ€™t firing up only the fans running? Cheers Laurence.

Just a guess, but could it be due to the outside temperature, doesn't the FHB only fire up once the temperature drops to a certain level.

I think you have your ccf settings right now Thumbs Up
and like david007 says I think the sensors for the fbh will be giving a warm reading
try again in the morning
the fbh takes a minute or so to fire up once the remote is pressed Thumbs Up

Patience is the key lol Thumbs Up
