Just a guess, but could it be due to the outside temperature, doesn't the FHB only fire up once the temperature drops to a certain level.

When I remember to I use my remote FBH during summer as an engine pre-warmer in an attempt to reduce cold engine wear, and yes where I live our summers are cooler but still double figures and the heater burns away nicely. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

If you mean in the cabin then you certainly know it's been on with 10 minutes running, the full 20 minutes can be nice and comfortable but of course this is all weather temperature related. I've never checked under the bonnet to check temperatures of anything if that is what you meant? 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

FBH

If the FBH is firing up and producing smoke, then give it a while to sort itself out and get going. It does take a short while to get up to temp.
If the unit then shuts down, it maybe worth using your GAPII to Prime the fuel supply to it ( In the menus), then test run it (again using the GAPII tool).

There's alot of info. here and most subjects and issues covered.

Is this right?

Now got every fault under the sun showing ? What on Earth has happened??

Think I've sorted the faults out? They wasn't showing on the IID Tool so turned off the car let go to sleep and restarted all seems good now.... Bow down

I have found that I sometimes get lots of faults showing up after updating with the IID tool but once the car has been left for 10-15 mins it is ok and all faults have gone.

It gave me heart failure the first time it happened. 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography
