Are you sure? thought it started with Owners Manual then went to Workshop Manual.

I suggest you look again. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Hi, mine too had a knocking, the job can be difficult if the retaining bolts don't come out, and you need various 15mm spanners because the bolts themselves are very awkward to get to, I'm somewhat handy, but I had the advantage of having a full time mechanic there that knew exactly how to do the job.
