The Michelin Lats are great summer road tyres, only problem is that they are USELESS in mud and snow! However, seeing as you live in London, they are unlikely to see any of this.

Are you sure you have those figures the right way round? as when I changed to 45 profile the speedo read 30 mph where as the actual road speed was betwen 31/32 mph and it was the same on both my sports. As a higher profile in effect makes a larger diameter wheel, would this not cause the speedo to read slow.

Didn't make much difference to speedo reading when I swapped mine. Certainly not enough to be concerned about. I found that compared with gps the speedo was reading slightly over true speed, changing to 275/45 got it a bit closer. Much smoother ride though. I also think the larger side wall looks better on the car. -----------------------------------------------

I've just got a set of 275/45/20's in the goodyear eagle F1's. Set them to 36 psi front, 39 rear. 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

I run 275/45/20 Pirelli scorpion but as it's generally just me in the car I run 33 front and 36 rear as per the label, making sure I check pressures only when tyres are cold and rested. -----------------------------------------------

I thought a bigger tyre would want more pressure?

More air same pressure was my advice.
Rides well on those pressures. Of course once running they warm up and pressures increase. I have TPMS and after a good run they generally reach 36 front and 40 rear in any case. -----------------------------------------------
