Maybe because an OBD access, with a "good" program you could initialize a new key.....

Wasn't that a L494 which do have a security issue which allows easy access to the car when it is locked. If thieves have the skill to break into the security system of the car then I am sure they will be able to remove the OBD2 lock in a short time.

The only local records of earlier L320s being stolen is when the keys are nicked first.

However if this lock provides you with a bit of confidence in the security of the car then that is great.

Make the original OBD as a dummy.. And on a hidden place the new OBD port😉

The OBD port is merely a spur of the CANBUS; they need only go underneath and probe it elsewhere to achieve the same. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Or put a simple hidden switch between the wires to the fuel pump😉

This was an issue when I had my ST. A few people bought various OBD protectors, some went to Screwfix and bought virtually the same stuff for £8 Relocating is another good idea. Steve.
