Hi Everyone, I have just purchased my first RRS. Yay! but it has a door locking problem......no yay!

Its a 2005 HSE TDV6.

The same issue lies with 2 doors the drivers door and also with one of the rear passenger doors. Whether I lock with the key fob or lock with the lock button from inside the car neither of the mentioned doors lock or unlock. I can however hear the motor working from inside the faulty doors when i attempt to lock/unlock.

Any recommendations to what the problem is? Your help is very much appreciated.

I should add that both doors lock fine when you manually flick the lock from inside its just when you are trying to use the key fob or the interior dash lock button. Its just a pain having to manually lock and unlock the doors.

The actual door handles inside and outside are working fine on the faulty doors. Its just a locking/unlocking issue.

Hi sounds like door actuators. very common fault (as I have found). Do a search on here for door actuators/locks. Lots of good write ups on here and the disco site if you want to go the diy route about £90 per lock, £200 for an indy to fit.

I have done both drivers and nsr, straight forward but can be fiddly.
