2005 air suspension fault

I have recently had the suspension fault coming up on my 2005 RRS, this stopped happening but the compressor has started to run constantly and when you lift from access height to normal or from normal to off road the rear raises just as it should but the front is really slow to reach height, I was advised to change the compressor as it was more than likely on its way out so I changed the compressor and relay tidy but I still have the problems. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction as to what else could cause this.

What's the answer?

Hi Daz,

I have exactly the same symptoms as yours. Suspension Fault warning on dash. The problem came on quite suddenly - no issues before. Back of car raises fine, but front raises very, very slowly - then says pump is overheating.

I have had the pump replaced at £500, but still exactly the same. Did you get yours fixed? If so do you know what the cause was? I'd be really grateful for any pointers.

Regards,

Chris 07956 786622

Hello Chris,

Did you sort your problem, as I have the same?

Just waiting for my IID tool to turn up to read the codes on it.

Cheers Chris Thumbs Up

Hi Chris80, well not quite yet. I kind of left it over Christmas. Funny enough though, I did have a good look yesterday and found a blown fuse. It is a tall yellow box shaped 60 amp fuse in the main fuse box next to the battery. I think it was fuse 10.

I have ordered another one £5 going to swap that before I take further action. Car is stuck in "normal ride height" so perfectly useable. Will keep you posted.

Be great if you could keep me posted Thumbs Up

Been told that my IID tool isn't going to be dispatched until Wednesday now because of the back log after Christmas!.

Did you have the codes read on yours? Can't use mine as only the rear is rising out of access mode!. Going to try to have a look tomorrow for anything obvious whilst I'm waiting.

Cheers

Chris Thumbs Up
