Can you change access height only using IID Tool but leave Normal Ride height and Off-road height at their factory settings? 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

No mate I don't think you can , if you lower the normal ride height say by 30mm then I think each mode will be 30mm lower |

That's correct; the IID Tool lets you change the basic height but the car's system maintains a 50mm (roughly) difference between each height setting. So if you lower the standard height by 25mm, the access height will be 25mm lower and off road height will be 25mm lower.

Interesting! Not into the low rider look myself on my sport but was curious as I have often found that access height is still abit to high for loading and unloading, especially large heavy items with the rear seats folded down.

No, I keep toying with buying the off road version but it's a bit far down my list at the mo. Got a feeling that suspension and gearbox will be needing work / replacements in the next 6 months...as it's my daily driver as well as toy that takes precedence!

That looks a lot like the LLAMS system that was designed in Australia a few years back - I did hear that the design had been stolen by other companies and sold as their own design. http://www.llams.com.au/ 07MY RRS TDV6 Arctic Frost Aspen Interior |

I don't know about "stolen" but the concept and look are very similar aren't they. Doing a quick currency conversion, and assuming prices are correct, the Oz one is cheaper too. Wonder how much shipping would be. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I have an early version of LLAMs fitted and it works very well. It was developed by a Landrover enthusiast with considerable development. I am not sure what intellectual property protections he put in place.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened like you suggest - enthusiast who didn't fully understand IP and how to protect it. IP protection on the international stage is expensive, however, so no surprise to see a "little guy" getting done over.
