Do check the battery, and, even more so, the alternator before putting a new battery in though. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Thanks for your help, I've only owned the car a few weeks now but im pretty sure the alternator has been recently replaced but ill double check. They may have replaced the alternator but left the old battery on to save some £'s |

That could well be the case. Do you know if the alternator is genuine/OE (Denso) or not? If not an issue now, it's worth knowing, as aftermarket alternators often cause issues (sometimes when new). Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I'm not 100% sure i will have to have a look through the records with the car. I'd imagine its a aftermarket rather than oem spec.

A new key is approx £140, which then needs to be paired with a diagnostic tool (doesn't have to be a dealer - a site sponsor may be able to help).
