Pitching on bumpy/wavey road

Hi all, a quick question...I was doing a bit over the speed limit Embarassed yesterday on the A120 round Braintree Essex & the RRS started a rather alarming pitching from front to back. The road surface has 'waves' in it I guess, as when I was a bit further along, the ride was more level & pitching stopped. I haven't noticed it before & I had to slow down to about 60 to stop it. Was it just my speed? As I hadn't noticed it before, even at speed, I wondered if anything needs checking out. It's just passed the MOT, not that they'd have checked air suspension, I guess... Question

It's probably just a harmonic frequency thing going on. I use a stretch of the A34 every day that has expansion joints in the surface. These set up a similar slight forward/backwards pitching sensation at about 50mph. It probably just corresponds to some natural frequency in the suspension system. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If yours is a used car (ie you aren't the first owner) check that you still have the big resonance damper weights still attached under the car, some people remove them for some reason, but they have a purpose - to cure what you have experienced. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
