Suspension warning light on

Suspension warning light has suddenly come on. I have occasionally lowered to access level, but haven't done this in a while, although I did yesterday and the light came on today.

I can still raise and lower the suspension but it's rather juddery and definitely not as smooth or even as it used to be.

Is it likely to be a leak in air compression? If so what is the downside?

Any ideas?

Hi there

If there are no other apparent faults with the suspension, check your brake lights haven't blown as this can cause an error, and check that your battery is still good as this can also cause weird faults to come up

If you don't use the height adjustment much then the raise and lower maybe a bit jerky because of that

Sounds like a sticking suspension strut, I had exactly the same when one of the struts went.

Have had both fronts replaced over the past 12 months. Have a listen to each corner as it raises and lowers, I could hear a noise like the inside was sticking and feel a resistance in the lift.

Compressor failure would mean no lift pressure, have had that too!

Others have had a valve block sticking open, if there are no unusual noises from the struts then could be a valve?? TDV8 Java Black, Overfinch 22s
