United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Just been driving round Leeds City centre today so no more than 30mph and the dash as lit up like a Christmas tree. I fitted a brand new rear brake switch yesterday
This Censored car is doing my head in now
Box of matches and a petrol can if it carries on!!

Think it's time to go back to BMW

It would be worth checking the battery too. Low voltage from a tired battery and/or alternator can also throw up multiple errors. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Or dodgy brake light bulbs......but a failing alternator will give the same symptoms 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

I changed the battery last month, I'll check the back light bulbs tomorrow but they are only a month or so old is there a test I can do for the alternator?

What battery did you fit?

You need to monitor the voltage to test the alternator. A good battery would have 12-12.5V without the engine running. On starting, the voltage goes up to about 13-13.5V initially and then to 14.5V+ whilst charging. This happens fairly quickly after starting.

Do you do short runs or is the vehicle started and then given a good run each time? Lots of short runs can cause the battery to weaken because it's never properly charged - especially if electrical stuff is used a lot e.g. heated seats. Leaving it "awake" but without the engine running will also do for the battery. A corroded rear glass hatch switch can also lead to battery drain whilst parked.

Be worth checking the earth points too on an older vehicle. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I do a mixture of long and short journeys, I did change the rear switch when I took it out for colour coding as it was really rusty
I'll get the alternator and earth points checked today thanks for your advice
