I took the bottom driver side grille bit off the inner wheel well. It opened up enough to pop out the side of the bumper off the clips, then I slid my skinny arm into the hole by the small radiator that hides out in there. I then tried everything I could to get the sensor pushed out, it wont budge! I see from doing searches on here that there are 3 clips that hold it in, but I cant find where you press the clip to pop it out?

Well done - get someone to give the sensor a push inwards from the outside - ( if that makes sense - that should do the trick ) 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thanks Peachy! Will give that a try Sunday then. It looked easy in a video I seen on a FFRR but its not the same job here on mine. I even tried to ply it out on the front of the bumper and scored a lovely big scrape in the bumper and the housing for the sensor! Agh!! |

Still the same, I'm afraid to break it. I've pushed as hard as I can on it, got the outside pressed at the same time, but nothing. It is the far corner sensor. Am I going too lightly? |

They are by nature a to get off - you need to bend the tabs on the inside out of the way & push from the outside in - it can be done but it is a practised method -

I suggest you take off the bumper, takes just few minute and is very easy.

I was told by my mate when he plugged it in to the computer that driver side was out. It says on dash front sensor in active. So I've got a spare that I hoped to just pop out and replace. She's a big wagon trying to park at school runs. Was grand over the summer but I'm back in that tight street again. |

I appreciate your frustrations - I would be lost without my parking aids - try again your way it really is a simple job to remove the bumper but if I was gonna do that I would certainly replace all 4 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
