One thing I do notice is that if you choose a plain ebony interior, that is what you get where the same choice in the core model includes some lunar (aka dark grey) to relieve the black coal-hole gloom. It's a pity that a lunar interior is not available as an alternative and it's clear you need to have a pano roof to lighten things up. The other question is what headlining do you go for? Black with black may just be too much. Mark

Questions:

- Rear mud flaps?
- if you choose the front centre cooler, what do you loose, for example, iPod connectivity?
- I see the carbon fibre internal trim and steering wheel options and the engine cover but not the external carbon pack.

Had assumed I would go for black roof but think, in blue, the floating blue roof looks better. Agree with Phil, no privacy glass.

I like the fact that, at this level, there are no extra charges for colours or roof options. Mark

Mark,
To be honest, its a personal choice thing but my master spec vehicle has ebony/ebony without pano and I don't think its that dim in there.

The accessories available for the car should be pretty much what the core car offers (with appropriate form changes where necessary) and the cooler is common to the core car so you'll be fine with that.

That's good to hear, I have ebony/ebony in my Evoque and it's fine, just wondered whether the extra acreage makes a difference. Wasn't aware the front cooler is an existing option so that's good. Rear mudflaps query just because they are not on the configurator at the moment. Mark

Yes, don't know where the Windsor went...

Phil, what are your feelings on headlining colour? Mark

I think if you went for the black cirrus interior the cirrus Alston headlining matches. What is the difference between Alston amd Morzine though ? SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

An alternative view is why spend more on a version that can only seat four + one, tow less, is not as luxurious, has a harder ride, fewer options, blah, blah.

Maybe numbers will be limited.

A good point phil, will be interesting to see how these sell. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Cirrus for me. Alston is nicer, more like Alcantara than Morzine, which is fabric.

Tend to agree with you Mark re the roof colour. We're going to end up with the same at this rate!

Yes I have Morzine in my Evoque, nice enough but I think Alston in charged at a premium where it is chargeable. Certainly the colour needs thought because changing it is not an option - in the Evoque, the windscreen has to come out.

As for same spec, I think mine will be poverty spec compared to Phil's! Mark

Thanks for the link, looks as good as I hoped it would though the California sunshine gives it a head start. Thinking about Cirrus too... Mark

All the more reason to change then if those 3-4000 miles will be done in an SVR Very Happy

Its worth bearing in mind that we haven't really compromised too many aspects of the Autobiography in creating this car. The off road capability is 95% unchanged on the 21s (I know, I've been round Eastnor in one) and ride comfort has to get past the likes of Mike Cross - one of the finest Engineers in the industry. What we've produced is a car that in everyday driving matches all the qualities you'd need but can stretch even a good driver's ability when pushed.

Dave, tell us more about the removeable front bumper section for off road, which bit comes off? Mark
