That's just poor service. Not all dealers are the same. I had a similar problem on a full fat with flickering headlamps. Guy salmon said "supposed to do that sir, it's characteristic" where as stratstone correctly diagnosed a fault and replaced both headlamps.

does anyone know if the approved used warranty is provided by land rover, or by a third party?

Get in touch with Customer Relations, throw a polite tantrum and then ask to escalate to executive office as this all sounds like BS. If they feel you have been wrongly refused, they will put pressure on Carcare Plan to get work done. Software updates are not usually covered as dealership should provide this gratis if there has been an update 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

If you read the handbook that comes with the warranty, you'll see what they state is not covered. Software upgrades aren't covered unless part of a repair to something else.

I read all these issues and I am seriously considering selling my2011 RRS and going to something from Merc great service, warranty and support or Hyundai Santa Fe. Don't all be shocked but what does LR expect. Eventually it will come home to roost. |

Hi I had the same problem with the fuel sender they tried the software update but this didn't work so the fuel sender in the tank had to be changed apparently theres a modded part and a fairly common fault all under the approved used warranty. |

I guess there is a difference between the way different dealers approach the warranty company. The warranty company only want to pay for stuff that's failed, generally, so if a dealer says "the part is worn" they probably say "no". If the dealer says "the part has failed" then they pay out. I think they also send out assessors to check that stuff does need doing. Maybe it depends on a combination of things.
