Air Con Not Working

When I got the car a few months ago, I tried the aircon and decided it wasn't working.

When I bunged it in for a service (indy specialist) , I told him to check it out as it wasn't cooling, he says, "How do you know? It is too cold to know?" Rolling with laughter

Well, you just know don't you?

So when I collected the car, he tells me they looked at it, everything is kicking in as it should, they gassed it a little, and he said lets look at it again when its warmer to be sure.

Well, now its warmer, and it doesn't bl00dy work like I said.

So going off what he said, the mechanicals seem to work visually, absent a leak, it has gas, set it to auto inside the cabin and it blows like a good un, suggesting sensor side is OK, just not cool air.

Is there any component that is known to go that these symptoms are typical of?

I didnt want to book it in, and £££'s later someone say "Oh, you just change fuse number twelve mate, its always that. Everyone knows that".

So I thought I would ask first in case its a known fault.

Out of interest how much did a new radiator set you back? Mine doesn't blow cold either.

It isn't ready till Tuesday after the holiday.

I didn't ask the price - I just said do it as it needs doing. It is in the indy Landranger in Stockport. They seem OK.

I'll report back with the price.

Nice one, sometimes it's just best not to ask the price and put your pin number in Smile
