Bring back the starter handle and do away with electric start Thumbs Up

Back in the sixties most keys fitted most cars but security has improved to an extent where they need keys to take the car which results in you being targeted and possibly ending up losing your life. Keyless entry will improve but if that means them waiting for you to get the code or fingerprint recognistion not for me. It should however be made difficult but not impossible. Having been subject to vehicle thefts and other thefts I understand the thoughts of public hangings.

Oh, and just to prove this wasn't an isolated incident, some more thieves showed up at 4am last night to attempt to take the replacement RRSPORT that the dealer had provided us with whilst ours is being repaired! This time we disturbed them after the car let out a few small beeps (which woke us!). They left just before the police arrived.....without having gained entry to the car. (Again they didn't have our keys!)

Quite a common occurrence!

Back in the day when you bought your own high end stereo system, I had my car broken into and the gear stolen.

The police should loan you a RRS with monitored cctv, dye packs, etc and catch the Censored but that would probably infringe their human rights Banging Head Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Second time this has been covered by Sky News. Pretty sure that's a Land Rover in the example video footage.

At least it's getting some attention now. Worries the hell out of me having just placed my first order for a RRS (AB).
