After getting my new RRS AB I started reading the manual and getting acquainted with all the various stuff. I tried operating the panic button on the key fob and no do - didn't work. So I took it to the agent afterwhich I was told that since I live in Belgium its illegal to have this in the Benelux countries. Would you believe this? Some stupid politician for some unknown reason decided to make a useful protective tool as illegal. I told the agent that I wanted to have this switched on as I will be taking my car to my original country of Malta. He was told by LR UK this is not possible. Why not? They blocked it so they could be able to unblock it is my line of reasoning. Anyone from Benelux countries here has the same problem and a possible solution?

Lol good one - but joking apart this is really stupid of Land Rover. If you are in your apartment and you can see your car and you see someone snooping around the panic button is useful. If they programmed it they should be able to get over it at clients' request especially when I am gonna export the car to another country.

If it´s been blocked... then logically it can be unblocked....

If it´s software... it can possible be re written...

If it´s hardware .... maybe it genuinely can´t be altered.....

If you really want this done..... ask why it can´t be unblocked and don´t settle for a simple no it can´t be done..
