If it starts to fire when you give a squirt of brake cleaner then it must be lack of fuel, have you had the filter off?, does fuel flow from the bleed screw at the top of the engine. Can you here the fuel pump running in the tank. See if you can get a diagnostic kit on it and crank it over to see if the fuel rail pressure is ok..

Flack Thumbs Up

I have never seen a cam sensor fail, in 9 years. The only time I have ever seen a cam sensor fault, is when the timing has been wrong.

It seems very unlikely you would have 2 faulty cam sensors, especially if 1 was OK before the engine was removed

If the fault is still there with 2 different cam sensors, then its likely the cam sensors are OK.

The fault is logged when the ECU doesn't see the cam and crank synchronising (sp?)

So, assuming both sensors are OK, that leaves a wiring issues between the sensor + ECU, a faulty ECU, or timing...

Don't you think it could be a fuel problem mike with it firing when I give it a sniff silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

No. Easy start will make any engine run for a few seconds, thats why its called easy start. The fact that it stops running tells you that its either not squirting fuel in, or its squirting at the wrong time. Doesn't mean its a fuelling issue Thumbs Up

I did a quick read trough your posts
was the engine reconditioned ?

asking cos it is crank/cam synchro issue

You are claiming timing is spot on which really leaves the crank sensor to be at fault

The 2 pulleys are physically different though, and only 1 has the trigger on the back of the sprocket. I meant have the sprockets been fitted to the correct sides?
