Front suspension risng slower than normal (pointers please)

Hello All

I have noticed after a couple of days of no use, the front is sitting very low (both sides).
and recenly the car rear comes up very quickly, but the front can take almost 15 seconds.

There also is a red indicator flashing display before i turn ignition on, representing the front height sensors are registering low, but clear when it rises, no other indication or warning lights ?

Today i started the motor and sat for about three minutes before tying to raise to standard height, and again the car lifted very quickly from the rear (i presume using the tank for the rear suspension) and the compressor for the front.

my question is what should i be concentrating reading up on for a fix?

1) Possible air leaks
2) Compressor
3) Air valves
4) something i have missed

Many thanks in advance Wink

Been reading many past threads and i think i may look at the Dryer first.
does anyone know where and how to access the front air valve?
as i would like to strip this down as well..

No Ady, other than one of the little red height indicators flashing from the front right, and when i try and access off road height i get a message "suspension rising slowly" thats it.

but due to compressor running and getting hot i expect that message anyhow, so im not worried about off road height adjustment.
its rising from access to standard thats getting slower, that is my issue.

Ive read almost every thread, but i get conflicting answers.

The slow rising seems to be one issue, but the leaking over night is pointing another..?

You need a new Compressor normally with this error, but others have got away with the dryer. The front air valve is under the drivers side wheel arch cover at the front just behind the fog light.

Front end leaking doesn't sound like compressor to me, but I wait to be told otherwise. Whistle

Logic tells me that if its a leak, then the air is coming out almost as fast as its going in, hence the time its taking to raise the front end. Whistle

I dont think its as bad as that (hopefully) Shocked last night i left it at standard height, the front had dipped a small amount this morning, but after a few second of engine running the front went up very quickly, again the back was already up, so i gather the compressor only had to pump up the front only.

please dont get me wrong im learning as i go here, im happy to buy a new compressor just as long as it is the correct part to be replaced. Thumbs Up

Mine is slow to raise the front end if I ask it to do so soon after starting the engine. Given a few minutes of running, however, it tends to be a lot quicker. A drop and immediate re-raise will be slow again. It points to a tired compressor - I must get around to getting mine changed too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I don't supposed you noticed whether its worse on very cold weather - just wondering if the dryer has allowed moisture in system which has almost or fully frozen and is restricting airflow ?

Paul - The forecast over the next few days is for 'brass monkey' weather - even in Herts- so you might be able to be able to see if it occurs again and if there's a cold weather pattern.
