As said, if the response is not as you like, contact ebay via the resolution centre. Very simple, quick and efficient. If the wheels are not as advertised do not agree to pay return postage either, but ask that they are collected by his courier at his expense. Ebay are generally very fair that you should not pay postage to return an item which was wrongly advertised. I have used the resolution centre a few times and even if the seller still has not agreed, ebay has refunded my PayPal payment themselves and then sorted the matter with the seller.

The seller seems to be very accommodating, his reply is courteous and seems genuine.

you could try to get him to pay for your original postage, refund what you paid for the wheels in full, and collect the wheels or have him pay for the return delivery/courier.

You are making life complicated for yourself and the seller by saying you will keep the wheels and obtain a partial refund.

I totally agree with drdelrrs. It will be easy to complicate this that ebay/paypal won't touch it. |

The seller finaly initiated a partial refund of money through payapal, half the amount I firstly paid.So a happy end(sort of)under the circumstances.I'm left with a set of wheels that had not been my first choice but I can leave with that.

Well done bazz, this does seem to be a result considering the logistics involved. |

Personally I don't see how paying anything (even if it is half of the advertised price) for something you claim is unsatisfactory and you didn't want is a result.

By my reckoning you've ended up paying £290 for a set of 20" alloys with very good tyres.
