Spain

Do a search on Google
The 2.7 engine id fitted to quite a few cars. Thumbs Up In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Isn't it a Lion V6 developed jointly by Ford and Peugeot? It's a brilliant smooth engine. I drive an X5 40D, great car but the RRS TDV6 is smoother than the BMW, not bad for a Ford! Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2009 Buckingham Blue RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2010 Alaska White RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Gone - 2017 Chawton White RRS 5.0 V8 Supercharged
Current - 2010 Java Black RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Current- 2024 RRS P400 SE Dynamic

All Landrover products now have Ford engines - D3/D4/RRS since introduction, Defender from about 2007 with the Puma and RR from about 2007.

Seems odd wanting to sell a car that was OK before you found out it had a Ford engine (quite common knowledge) but is now all of a sudden not OK even though the engine performs as it did before.

Historically Ford were the first manufacturers to build engines with 'balanced' parts (1960s) !!

Once bought a dealership which we changed over to a Ford franchise, ended up with too many mechanics and rarely saw customers between services. Cars sales however went up Thumbs Up

Enginewise, Ford-powered LR's (diesel being PSA-Ford) must be the most reliable yet. Go and ask the FFRR-owners (2002-2005?) what they think. But go ahead and sell it, if you hate Ford that much.. Whistle
(Iveco might be able to supply you with a non-Ford engine. Mr. Green )

You could but you'd be wrong. It was designed and developed by Ford in partnership with PSA along with several brands that were part of Ford's stable at the time. In the final analysis it's a Ford engine; and it's no worse for being so. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Think in hind sight I would have preferred the ford V6 to the LR developed V8! The V6 is used in several models where as the v8 is only fitted to Range Rover brand so was under engineered and r&d was stunted. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Australia

Are you talking petrol V8 or TDV8.

The petrol was developed by Ford owned Jaguar and the TDV8 is a Ford engine built at Ford’s Dagenham engine plant in Essex.

Developments of this engine are planned to be built in the US to go in the Ford F150 pickup.

So really the TDV8 (a TDV6 with 2 extra cylinder and twin turbos) is as much as Ford engine as the TDV6 is.

TDV8. And may I respectfully suggest you do a bit more research before publishing your lack of knowledge on open channel. Yawn Thumbs Up 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
