Dilema tdv6 or tdv8

I know its been done a thousand times but I am really really stuck and could do with a bit of advice here please folks.

I am in a dilemma regarding what to buy.
I know it has to be a Bonatti Grey RRS with black/aluminium trim.
Rear headrest dvd is also a great choice (for son to watch)
Rear towbar to pull a caravan or my boat.
Centre Fridge.

My problem is I really don't know what to choose, either a 2.7 or a 3.6.
my budget is around £18500

rather than me searching here can anyone put the pros and cons of both on here for me please.
I have driven a 2.7 (without a remap) and thought it was ok. Is there much difference, I am missing anything?

Any help will be massively appreciated.

Thanks in advance. Thumbs Up

If you drive a TDV8 you won't want a 2.7 that's for sure. The 3.6 has a better base spec for starters. Oh, and the engine is quite good too... Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

2.7 with a remap is a lot better that standard, with a good remap it is getting close to the later 3litre lumps. Thumbs Up In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

The TDV8 is a better engine for the sport...

The 2.7 doesn't have the urgency of the 3.6 (it's almost a litre down, 2 cylinders and a turbo ) Rolling with laughter

As stated above, once you've driven the TDV8 you really will not want the old V6

As for fuel economy, there really isn't much in it... maybe 2 or 3 mpg?

(Just to balance the anti V8 comments Mr. Green ) RRS gone
Audi SQ5...Gone Audi Q7 S-Line 240 3.0TDI Gone

Type "tdv6 v tdv8" into the search facility and they're several threads covering all of this. It's been asked so many times before which is why the replies are so flippant. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
