I have owned both and the V8 actualy does more to the gallon than the V6 on long distance (power to weight) it was 8K differance New but now not a lot, service may cost more & any work needed but what a great sound! RANGE ROVER SPORT 2008

If you drive a TDV8 you won't want a 2.7 that's for sure. The 3.6 has a better base spec for starters. Oh, and the engine is quite good too... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

having driven a few 2.7 that were gutless i then went and tried the tdv8 to which is now my daily driver v8 all the way mate even if its a few more ££s |

2.7 with a remap is a lot better that standard, with a good remap it is getting close to the later 3litre lumps. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Type "tdv6 v tdv8" into the search facility and they're several threads covering all of this. It's been asked so many times before which is why the replies are so flippant. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
