When complaining about same problem, I was handed fact sheet dated 3rd Oct entitled-
"Cackle from Speaker - Intermittent loss of Audio(vehicles fitted with Lear Hybrid TV Gen 2.1 Only)
Reset on Lear Hybrid TV is causing the MOST light to go out which cause the cackle and loss of audio for 2 seconds

Software Fix is currently available for the Affected Vehicle range:
RRS MY2012-2014 VIN CA717166-DA786230
Evoque MY2012-13 VIN CH000200 - DH847154
Discovery 4 MY2012-13 VIN CA596988-CA652091

This procedure requires SDD DVD 135.04 and calibration file 148 loaded"

He then apologised and said as my RRS is MY2010 I would have to wait a few more weeks BUT would be in touch.......

2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Santorini Black

Hi All, I had the same on my RRS, 62 plate.
Very embarrassing when friends/ family in the car.

Was worse when it happened watching TV, like whole system HARD reboot.
I thought the bloody car had shutdown.

I took it down to my local dealer, Lancasters in Slough.
Amazing service, also fixed my Side wing mirrors from juddering.
No questions asked.

They said LR has just announced a bulletin for the stereo & wing mirror issues.
Took 40mins, and applied the update.

The issues has not happened since.

Very Happy now. Finally Bought a RRS:
... and the 2012 sports - is the Business.!!!!

Not sure if this is the answer, but our dab is constantly searching as we travel and the Bluetooth kicks outs when it does this, it can be intermittent.

Speaking at the dealers today, it is a known issue, DAB upgraded their network recently, this had had the effect that the tv is affected as it constantly searches for a signal. There is no perm fix although the dealer will retune the tv to "USA " mode as a temp fix which will stop the problem but not affect the tv etc, it will also stop the Bluetooth and radio constantly searching for a signal.

Hope is helps, the dealer have said they will advise me when a proper fix is available. Cant say if it works as they will deal with when in for a service next week. Rob

Well LR never contacted me to say the fix is available Sad So I've booked it in to have it done whilst I wait.

I hate it when you have to take it upon yourself to get something done, especially when you've been told you'd be contacted. Neutral 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Sorry Mike JLR was too broad a reference - to be more accurate I should have posted -

"This is the way LR Dealers and LRCS work now" Sad

Its just the dealers - its bad, but they do really let the brand down - not all though. Mike

Its LRCS too - I contacted them 24/08/13 concerning front sensor when towing - I had to chase them again 05/09/13 and 09/10/13 before they answered my question and 2 trips to dealer for investigation so not just dealers Rolling Eyes

I was told early on by Liam@LRCS it would be fixed but then later by Pete@LRCS it was a normal feature - that was nothing to do with the dealers Sad

I have been let down by 6 different LR dealers now so finding a good one is proving difficult even ignoring increasing travel distances Big Cry Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
