htc and bluetooth
forgive me for asking another dumb question ,i have done a search but cant seem to find answer, when i do a scan on phone it just brings up nokia 52 something i think that must be the carkit thats on flap above fridge thing the car deffo has bluetooth and previous owner showed me how to connect but i cant remember how to do it. he did say it never automaticly connected? any advice on an upgrade or link to a idiots guide would be greatly recieved

Hi mate- I'm no expert but I'll give it a go! Don't think the phone cradle is a car kit as such- just a holder really with a charger. The blue tooth module is in the boot, and is made by Nokia. Normally, the Bluetooth search in you phone should come up with Landrover, but for some reason yours is obviously coming up with Nokia. Click on it on your phone-.it should then say pair, and give you the opportunity to put a code in. Type 2121 into the phone and a message on the car radio display should then say phone attached and you're away.
But, you have to do that everytime. Unless you get an updated Bluetooth unit.

ahh that would make sense ill try that then i think i did try to pair it but ill give it a go agin in the morning if not ill get the upgrade thingy

Upgrade will only work if it's one that you have to use 2121 to connect to.

it is as thats the code the guy i bought it off used to pair his iphone

i cleared it off the phone and rescaned it a few times now it comes up landrover and pairs automaticly everytime i turn ignition on

i take it back needs to be paored everytime the engine is turned off
