Hi,

Looking to upgrade the bluetooth in my RRS 2005 as each time i enter the car, have to enter the code 2121 before it connects to the phone and when it does, my contacts on the fone doesnt show up on the car radio display.

Is there anyone around (north-west/west/east) London that can do the update and how much will it cost?

Do you have red and green button on the right hand of the steering wheel....? I suspect you don't have and therefore don't actually have the Bt module. They all have the phone button on the radio if that's what your going by I'm afraid.

You need a disco4 BT module (you can use a disco3 one but similar price), most cable, steering wheel switches, microphone if you don't have it already.

Those parts are about £300. Plus then fitting and enabling them in the car Config.  Bodsys Brake Bible

Go gently with me dude, aside from one disastrous mistake of buying a spanking new Disco..........I'm a Defender boy, my tool-kit consists of spanners, hammers, cable-ties and insulation tape ffs!

Torx 20 screwdriver, a flat blade screwdriver, a posed rive screwdriver and some crimps or solder, no hammer required.

You can enable it if you get an IID tool or a BBS Nanocom or a BBS MSV2 or pay someone else to do it for you, but your location may cause an issue!

Dealers can't fir this for you, they offer the crappy aftermarket kit which you can't properly get anymore anyway. Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi All, I am having the same problem with my 2006 RRS. I can connect my phone but have to do this every time I start the RRS up. I have spoken to the local dealer and he has said there are no updates for the RRS????

Ned, speak to the bodsy. Plug and play module. This will solve your problem. No more 2121.

mine does the same with my new Nokia but not with my lumina 800 ?
