I doubt you'll see the £700 back on the seeling price, but I bet you'll get knocked more than that for not having it done. A bit of a 'rock and a hard place' situation if you ask me ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

When I was recently shopping for a RRS, I was asking the sellers if the car's had just had their 7 year service/cambelt, as I only wanted a car that this had this carried out. I didn't want to be buying a car that needed £700+ spending on it straight away.

It will be a great plus point to a buyer and yours will be top of the list for people to view. I say do it. Your more likely to get more than £700 less offered to you without it done! |

If I was buying a car that was at the age that a belt change was due, I'd rather pay less and have it done myself so I know it's been done. I'd want proper evidence it'd had been done otherwise - such as checking with the garage etc. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
