Changing a Steering Wheel

Is it an easy job to change the steering wheel on a 2006 range rover sport?

I have a new one coming to replace mine, but not sure whether to do it myself or get it in to the garage?

I changed mine ok. Getting the airbag off took a bit of patience. I made my own tool using a hardened metal skewer but to be honest you'd be better off buying the correct tool for what it costs... Embarassed

After looking at the tool you can purchase, i simply cut the end off of a coat hanger, bent it slightly and it worked perfectly. I purchased the smooth leather wheel from Powerful UK and also the smooth gear knob for a full size RR, trimmed off the excess boot leather and then adapted the shifting stem on the the new knob to match the sport knob and now have matching wheel and shift knob. mike murphy
