Parking sensors again.

Hi guys

My parking sensors started to play up with the log tone and the flashing light. Checked around by putting the car in reserve and listening for the click. All the fronts work fine and I get the clicking. On the rears I don't get any clicking from any of the sensors. I've checked the loom connector behind the rear lamp.. All ok, I have taken the bumper off to look and can't see any broken cables. Still getting the long tone Sad

I'm lost now and would love some help

Cheers guys

Scotty

Does anyone now where the parking sensor control mod is? If I tap the boot floor the sensors come on fine, as soon as close the boot they go mad again.

Loose wire maybe??

Control module is on the left hand side of the car, as you stand behind it, in behind the rear 1/4 panel trim. Failry easy to access if needed Thumbs Up

Mine fronts have been intermittent for a while. Since yesterday I'm getting "front parking sensors inactive" displayed on the dash, still intermittent. Need to get outside and investigate but it's too cold Laughing

I had the whole system out, rear bumper off, took the pic module out and checked all the cabling. Put it all back together and everything worked. Hasn't been a problem for over a week.

But a soon as one problem goes, another one comes...I now have suspension fault, normal height only! : Big Cry

i have suspension fault and intermittent parking sensor not working - if i switch off and on engine, the parking sensors work again. From what I've read, a new battery may fix the problem. I'm reluctant to replace the battery as i don't have a problem starting (RRS SC 2005)

Likewise, if I give the car a run then turn off and on the error goes... More charge in the battery??
