TDV8 HSE Spec as standard>

Hi all,

What are standard spec on these? As they seem to come very well specced, e.g. 20inch wheels, etc

Is bluetooth standard for example - I have seen one that says phone integration, but not bluetooth, is this the same thing? Also is the fridge in the armrest standard? - all I have seen seem to have it!

Trying to google the added features of the TDV8 but cannot find anything specific (and I think they are all HSE aren't they?)

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Pre 2008MY (2008MY cars are cars built after September 2007) had a phone cradle under the centre cubby box lid, it needed an extra adapter for anything other than a Nokia 6330 I think. There was still Bluetooth as well. After 2008MY that was taken out and the car got an electrically adjustable steering column instead. My 2007MY TDv8 was one of the last.
A fridge was standard in the lower section of the cubby box in all pre 2010MY TDv8's which were also all HSE spec or HST spec (ie with a body kit)- check it works 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Thanks. Useful info. Essentially the cradle will be redundant to me. And disadvantage if it being there?
When you say cars built sep07 onwards are my08 - do you mean physically built or registered?

I think the one I am looking at is my07. Would have liked the electric steering column but as long as it is adjustable I can live with that. I assume electric heated seats etc is all still there!

Any other difference between my07 and my08?

Thanks

MY 2007 would have the phone cradle. LR new model years usually start with cars built from 1st September of the year IIRC
Electric heated seats still there and I think 2008MY went from a DvD based Satnav to a Hard drive but not sure.
The fridge is a "cold plate" system of stored coldness with a fan. They are not running all the time and they are not dependant on the Aircon either. There is a separate on/off switch on the cubby box surround so you don't need to have it as a fridge, CD boxes fit very neatly inside them and there should be a plastic tray lid that will clip on under the cubby box lid.
I have all the sales literature 2005-2010 so need to check the Satnav but it was upgraded before the 2010MY changes came in - the 2005-2008MY cars had a manual column adjust 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

2007/8 HSE should come with 20" wheels, Brembo brakes, satnav and Bluetooth. Dynamic ride and active hesdlights, radar distance control and cruise. Soft leather and fridge. After this some of the original items became pay options 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!

IIRC removal of the lamp guards will leave you with some holes in the bodywork...........
Also check the spare wheel - it should be a space saver 19" on a special black alloy unless the owner specced a full size spare - it should not be a small steel wheel. Also check if the car has the tow pack fitted, if it has the detachable tow bar this should be with the car, preferably detached and in it's carrying bag in the boot and NOT left in the receiver where they corrode into place and require a lot of heat and brute force to get out, there shouls also be a removable section of rear bumper to cover the towing gear when not in use 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Interesting. According to the VIN, my TDV8 is a 2008MY. It has the phone cradle but no electrically adjustable steering column. Bizarre. Mine was first registered early Nov 2007.

I guess the specs were/are variable at MY changeover time... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yeah, the sat nav is pants and getting updated maps is ridiculously expensive.

I just use a smartphone-based sat nav. Phone bluetooths nicely and the hands free is pretty good. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Dynamic Response

Would a 2007 "07" HSE TDV8 have Dynamic Response fitted as standard?

Also, Adaptive headlights?

Ty.

It will have the dynamic roll bar yes. Not sure if that denotes "Dynamic Response" though.

It's not the same Dynamic response as the newer cars that's for sure Thumbs Up

Adaptive xenons yes Thumbs Up RRS gone
