I know Essex is supposed to be home to a few hardmen, but you'd be unwise to cross Glaswegian fast foodies like eazy & his folk. |

If i was you, i would be round there right now getting my sport back, not posting on here, worry about the finance against your motor when you get it back, by means of ringing the finance company up telling them that the deal hasn't gone through so demand their money back off your so called neighbour. Then i would go roud to the dealer who applied for the finance for him and to either sort this out for you today or you are going to report them for money laundering because what they have done is illegal Good luck. Next time think twice before you hand over your motor and DON'T ever buy a motor with outstanding finance unless you make sure its been cleared on the day of sale. Ask for written proof. |

Thx for the advice guys appriciated. Ady I think I'm going to do as youv said but I'm goin to wait till after the bank holiday on tuesday then wait and see if he clears the q7 as he said he would. If he starts saying that he wants the lights turned off etc before he clears the q7 I'm just gonna tell him I've got the logbooks and I'm the legal owner of the range rover as it was before. He is still driivng about with my private plate on the car aswel. |

^^ This makes a lot of sense. Out of interest, what spec is the Q7? LCFC. Receiver of threatening letters from Overfinch. |

there are car finance companies out there who do legally deal like this, if you find a car private that you want, then you apply for finance against it, if it was me, i would be ringing the finanace company who arranged it, and tell them that you own the car, and the deal hasnt actually gone through, but reading your post again, it seems like the deal HAS gone through and the Finance company now own your Sport.

I don't think you can own a car with outstanding finance as the original keeper didn't actually own it and therefore probably committed a criminal offence by "selling" it to you.

The thing is guys the deal hasn't actually gone through because dvla haven't processed it they cancelled everything and handed back the logbooks. The only thing is now my jeep has finance against it I have to let the people know that the deal hasn't been finilased. The q7 is good spec sline 06 plate 85k miles worth about 16k private. If he clears off the q7 I will be happy enough and do the deal. But he keeps insisting I have to fix the range rover to his standard before he clears the jeep. If he goes down that route on tuesday ill just have to take the jeep back and give him his 16k and q7. Once he sees that I have both logbooks he will panic thinking I've got everything. |

Go and get your motor back off him and tell him you are taking it to the garage to get it fixed, make sure you get both keys, then give him a cheque for 16k tell him the deal is off till he has cleared the Q7 and walk away |

Couple of things,it's not a Jeep that is just confusing things, secondly I may be wrong but I don't think the DVLA has anything to do with the legal position in relation to the sale only who is the RK of the 2 cars not who actually owns what.

For gods sake don't give him anything back until you speak to the finance company, as they now own your RRS AND the Q7 by the sound of it, all you have is 16k Hope you get it sorted Dave MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged ), Santorini Black, Flappy paddles, Privacy Glass, 20" Stormers, Mudflaps! Gone: a comprehensive list of imprezas and a Merc ML AMG |

In that case I might just need to fix his lights on the range rover hoping he will pay off the q7 |
