Hand jobs do take their toll and your arm will ache, whilst using a machine will get better results but you still can be at it for hours though, as you need to tape up first for safety

That sounds so wrong Wink

a machine will usually polish out any scratch as long as that scratch doesn't 'catch' a finger nail passed over it

**usually**

The cost of a machine would go a long way to pay for a car detailing by a professional. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I'm looking into getting a DAS-6 Pro in the next couple of weeks - the bonnet of my 2005 looks like its been washed with a wire brush for the past few years! Sad I masked the worst of it last weekend with a few hours of AG SRP then Glaze, but its just a temporary fix until I get the DA.
I'm actually looking forward to doing it - it's kind of satisfying.
I'm even going to attempt a few stone chips myself after reading some guides on Detailing World
Look at this guy's attempt: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/show...tcount=239
