Still not done it yet mate. Decided to get the colour coding done first but now thats done am hoping to do it today. Problem is the weather's crap lookin gout the window right now.

Is it best to wait for a totally dry day first or should I attempt it in a dry spell later?

Did however wash the car on Friday and used the new drying towel I bought and wow how good was it!! So much better than scratchy leathers you have to keep wringing out Very Happy TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

When you wash the drying towel only use a liquid washing solution and do not use a
Conditioner Thumbs Up

Granular washing powders could leave a bit in and scratch your car

Yes the asing go like a gel in only Luke warm water so dissolve totally at 40 degrees. Really really impressed with it though. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

Sherlock... really glad u bought that drying towel..... not only is it the single most time saving thing u can buy.... it protects the car...
Chamois and synthetics hold grit on the surface and are one of the biggest reasons for all that "swirling"..!!! Twisted Evil

Did u buy the CYC clay??
anyway.... clean the car..... then soak it.... and then I assume u havent got clay lube... if u don't use a reasonably good amount of washing up liquid mixed with water to use as a lubricant and spray it on constantly while claying.....
YOU MUST USE LUBE!!!
Claying involves nothing more that light to medium pressure swinging motion with yr hand ... and u will feel the particles breaking off being pulled out...
when they stop.. so do u.... have a feel of the paint b4 and after.... it will feel v smooth after...
If u have loads of contaminants on the bodywork.... just flip the clay over and use the other side.... after that u can fold it and knead it flat......
At the end just give the car a rinse.. or another wash in case any loose bits are still on the car b4 you polish or IPA...
IF YOU DROP THE CLAY ON THE FLOOR..... CHUCK IT..

If u have the Autoglym super resin polish ... it's ideal after claying ... especially if your car hasn't been clayed b4 as it's gonna get rid of a fair bit of crap after... and the AG contains good fillers...

I learnt off a you tube video.... beats me drivveling on Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
