could not agree more Ady... looked at both when i was buying went TDV6 because i decided to go new and I have a Z4 with the 3.0 straight six when i want to hear a cracking engine. I have driven both the 2.7TDV6 and 3.6TDV8 back-to-back and for me, the TDV8 was the better car.

I don't think it's been slated or fair to characterize the comments made as as that. I'm not sure any of the range could be slated they're all very competent vehicles. Its just been said that, in most TDV8 owners opinions, the V8 is better (having chosen it you'd expect us to say little else).
