You absolutely will not regret it and the mpg is neither here nor there. Let's face it none of these is exactly economical, but none of us buy them for that.

The v8 is simply superb good luck Thumbs Up Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

Went out in '60 plate TDV8 HSE today. I have to say I loved the V8 rumble, but that was it. I didn't think there was that much difference in power between that and my previous 3.0 V6. So it's gonna be an SD or TDV6 for us.... Gone:
2016.5MY RRS HSE Dyn
2015MY Disco Sport HSE
2011MY FL2 HSE
2010MY RRS HSE
2008MY D3 HSE

i have to be honest i drove the disco HSE v6 and the rrs tdv8 HSE and the disco was a much better ride Shocked it absorbed the bumps a lot better and felt right in some way

i was disappointed with the rrs yes the v8 was an awesome rumble if you were outside but when in the car which is where you are most of the time Laughing its the same as the tdv6! the rrs did feel a bit more prestigious and snobby Embarassed
but after the test drive (there only so much you can test it with a sales man sat next to you) i was really disappointed i so much wanted the ors to be awesome but the disco won the day, trouble is the discos are more expensive used than the sport Neutral

my dream of having a sport could be over before its started Big Cry

Having owned D3 and RRS and driven a fair share of D4s I think you need to drive on a variety of roads - I found the D3 the best of the 3 on Motorways due to the softer suspension set up and MY10 RRS the best on A-Roads.

I am not a huge fan of the D4 suspension set up as it is harsher than D3 yet not as responsive as RRS .

I went for RRS in MY11 (Having made the opposite decision at MY08) as IMHO i believe the facelift of the RRS was better thought out than the D4 one.

Tyre size makes a big difference my RRS is a softer ride on its 19" winter tyres compared to its summer 20" wheels.

Happy Hunting to be honest both are cracking vehicles . 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world

2006- BMW Z4M Roadster -Titanium Silver

Club - Ex Defender & Disco 3

The RRS is near identical to the D4 underneath. The ride is harsh on the RRS with the 20' alloys and slightly firmer suspension. But stick 20's on a D4 and it to will be similar.

If you don't need the space go for the RRS. I've yet to drive an SdV6 with the 8speed. If it doesn't feel hugely different to the TDV6 then might go used....albeit a 2010MY or newer. Gone:
