Ok Bean, put it another way, if you had to leave your motor out on the street overnight knowing that spare wheels are being stolen in your area and you didn't have the spare wheel protector on your motor whould you rest? Now ask yourself the same question if you had one fitted, for the sake of £65 i know what i would do and have done do you want to be the next member on here telling us you have had your spare wheel stolen? |

I'm the same, though I know I should get one for piece of mind. I'll likely invest in a RLD RR Sport TDV8 09 Santorini Black with all the trimmings |

Hi all, DrLex mentions the improved security of the D4 winch. Is this improved winch fitted as standard to the 2011 sport ?

It's possible that such was fitted to RRS 2011, as my understanding is that it was labelled as D4 2011 Winch but also fits RRS & D3. |

Totally understand where you are coming from Ady, but having seen cars 'keyed' just for envy by these low lifes it does make me wonder if you did have a protector fitted and they couldn't get at the wheel, whether they would leave you a calling card, like a couple of kicked in panels, scratches down the side etc Its as if you are damed if you do, damed if you don't. I wonder how many people who have the RLD protector have had an attempted theft? What we need is someone could come up with a motion sensor to activate the reversing camera and hard drive that when you're parked, it captures the 's in the act, then maybe drops the suspension into a super low mode to squash the under the car ........now that would be ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it ) GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass |

no, it's that you are damned if you don't, and possibly damned if you do. And the possibly I would reasonably guess as being very small. ============ 2010 TDV8 HSE - ooo laa laaaaaaaaa 2007 TDV8 HSE - superb car and very reliable ============ 2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8! |

The types of people who steal these are in for a quick buck and wont usually waste time keying your vehicle. They won't want the alarm to go off and they want to be in and out unseen and unheard.

Just because your alloy wheels have got locking nuts on it doesn't mean that they are going to key your car they just jog on to the next one and hope that it hasn't, most tea-leafs will just think that LR have upgraded the security in your case on the new models I'm suprised you spend £55k + on your motor and you are humming and harring about spending £81.50 on extra security |
