Hi Muddy, mine is going in Wed to be activated on the screen but now considering getting the rest of the bits needed and going the whole hog and using the remote. Not sure if the parts required have changed or if the items above are still correct, don't want to buy the wrong bits Big Cry MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

Park Heaters

Hi Mike My 10MY 3.0 TDV6 has the FBH already fitted. But was not enabled to be used as a Park Heater. There isn't any timer on the Sat Nav screen. I had the 2008 2.7TDV6 with FBH and was told that it could not be enabled without spending loads of dosh. But was told the 2010./ on 3.0 TDV6 could be activated,if the FBH was already fitted.

If it not fitted as standard on the supercharge than no. Thought it might be like the rest. All you had to do was activate it. Ah well. Censored MY11 Autobiography supercharged. Santorini Black. Monaco interior. Rear screens. Privacy.

FBH Activation

Hi Sweetafton, Seems as though MSE has different veiws on this subject. In 2011 he posted that if you had the hardware already fiitted. Then it was a software issue. And just needed the right software to be downloaded to activate the excisting hardware.Landrover would have activated this facility when ordering from new at a high price. Its like the old days when all models of a particular car shared the same wiring loom. And the higher spec model had the extras fitted and plugged in. It was cheaper to have one wiring loom than to have several different ones MSE makes sense if its there it just needs the no how to get it to work

Harry, the S/C didn't have the FBH as standard - it was an option that had to be specified at build. No doubt it's possible to retro-fit one but as it'll likely include all of the fuel piping etc. back to the tank, it's probably not a cheap job.

All of the diesels in the UK have the FBH as standard. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Risgby - no problem mate Thumbs Up

Harry

Sorry no idea what your going on about - my views are really clear - only one view, sorry you probably need to re-read the question.

The FBH is only fitted to Diesels as standard to aid the warm up, this can be enabled with either timed climate (the sat nav screen) or remote park (the remote control option). To have the remote control you also need the remote, sender unit and aerial

Now there are at least 4MY differences which require the diagnostic equipment to be set up to interface with. Pre 2010, 2010-11, 2012 and 2013 (now maybe added in 2014)

Supercharged or S/C...or SC (what the person above actually asked me about), didn't have the actual unit that does the work, fitted as standard unless you actually specified it. If you spec'd it, you will have the functionality as standard because that's what you ordered Whistle

Really simple - but I hope that's helped you

Its funny the FBH questions almost as soon as it gets cold every year Rolling with laughter Exclamation Exclamation Rolling with laughter Mike

FBH

I've just bought a RRS from LPR, and trying to find out how much the FPH costs to have activated. Also does it come with a Remote or is this extra.
I've been told the FBH is already installed and just needs activating, as the option is not on the ICE screen.

The timed climate (on screen) will need activating and if you want the remote then it's an aerial, a receiver and the remote fob. Have a search under "2012 timed climate" for more details MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys
