Thats the sort of answer i'd expect from you dill, considering the hadbrake shoes were only changed 8000 miles ago i did not expect these to be worn out, and seen as i never use the handbrake i don't think that they will be wearing out in the near future either, as for the time it took to replace the rear brakes, it was for reference only to give others an idea how long it is likely to take them to do theirs and not for stupid comments like you have just posted. As you will see, i am here to help other members on here, unlike you with ALL your negative comments you keep posting, Last edited by Ady 555 on Mon Oct 31 2011 9:50am. Edited 1 time in total |

Surely the whole point of the sensor being a seperate part is that it doesn't need to be changed with the pads unless you have worn them down to the point that the wear indicator light comes on?

Dill obviously dosn't understand the idea of the pad sensor, its not a case of cutting corners, its a case of knowing what you are doing and the reasons why. As i said i had a new pad sensor to change but there was nothing wrong with the old one because i changed my pads before they had worn out. I could of got another 12 months out of my rear discs but seen as i was changing the pads i thought i might aswel change the discs at the same time. (cutting corners false economy ) |

Obviously your knowledge of brakes is far less than mine, but i don't have a problem with that, we learn something new every day Its not about point scoring either, its about sharing your experiences on the subject in this case brakes, to help others replace theirs, but as usual you have to stick your nose in with sarcastic comments which don't help anyone. I am going to end this subject now because you are beginning to bore me. |
