Engine Failure :( AND Crappy Paint Quality Photos

This morning Ive come to jump in my car and had a series of faults displayed.vehicle lean when cornering, emergency brake failure.blah blah blah.. this is the third day running as each previous day the faults have reset their-selves.

Only today the one that ive not seen before is Engine Failure Sad

Just sat at home awaiting LR Assist as I did try to reset but nothing.

My pal who is the head of service has told me to get them to check the earth lead from the battery. Im worried that my 6 months old baby is fubar !

Bloody Landrover.... Just when my faith had been restored after a few years of Censored FFRR problems. Smile

Thanks Bradders.

After reading the report slip the assist guy gave me one of the faults is ??steering angle sensor?? No communication from Engine?? Im guessing as his writing is a bit unclear.

Any one else had this problem or seen these faults. ? Smile

Its ok thanks Ady. Thumbs Up Just a bit worried about my car to be honest. I dont know what the issue could be, the engineer looked a bit perplexed as he said the engine isnt talking to the rest of the car through the wires as it should... Im thinking , I hope this is not going to be a lengthy drawn out issue. Sad Smile

It's not good when you have repeated probs with a newer car, my XF got taken away on a yellow lorry 10 times in it's 12 months with me + the 2 times I took it in and dumped it on them, hope Assist didnt palm you off with a dodgy F2 Eco warrior

Foxy Take a hard unemotional line.

The RRS is an expenisve motor and you have every right to expect it to be 'right'

I'd give them 3 strikes; if they haven't fixed the repeating faults after the third attempt give it back. Tell them this because in the trade - this is the general rule-of-thumb.

It's a bit of a challenge if you keep getting different faults. But if you keep to the main groups like, electrics, engine transmission, suspension etc you can make life easily in agrguing for a replacement

I also returned an XF after 4 months because electical problems kept occurring and although they would have given me a new XF I refused as I didn't want the same issues.

Be careful how you negotiate !

At first I got an agreed value for my car then assessed their stock and knocked off 10% thier asking price and by arguing they 10% was the value I put on the hassle and my "opportunity loss" because thenjoyment of my new car had been compromised by the faults then got a deal.

I was told recently by the dealers car pick up man that they have a policy that it does replace if they haven't cured a problem after 3 attempts.
Pity the poor sod that gets one of these at auction thinking they've got a bargain. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
