It was designed to go anywhere without breaking down. It will tow just about anything and off road performance is remarkable. The latest versions are excellent to drive which is why it is the best selling 4x4 around the world. Turn up in Africa or Australia in a Range Rover and it will be your turn to be laughed at. Hold their value much better than a RRS as well.

But for Siberianfox I reckon the Volvo XC90 or the Audi A6 Allroad estate would cover all bases. Dump the Rangie, not reliable enough if it is your only mode of transport or intend to use it every day. Every owner I come across on shooting days has tales of woe to tell. My mate's '10 FFRR has been off the road for 6 weeks with electrical problems. It was fascinating to watch the entire dashboard light up with faults as soon as we went off road last season - worrying as well as we might miss the next drive or at least the sloe gin! '10 Range Rover Sport TDV8

Foxy,

This is really sad, I've followed your exploits, trials and tribulations since your first post. The troubles you've had, along with others I've read make me wonder if I really want a Sport after all. I can live with some of the expenses but I really do need reliability.

We only have one car and it needs to work first time everytime. Back up is a 10 metre motorhome that I just cannot take to work!

You have a real lemon of a car put together on a Friday night. Sad Crying or Very sad I feel so sorry for you.

You should be getting a new replacement from LR (and pity the poor sole who ends up with your current car)!

Good luck with whatever you do. The Landcruiser does look a little 80's but it is extremely capable.

Richard

No Foxy No! How about changing dealer. The sport is perfect for you and you know it! It sounds to me like the dealer is letting you down. I rearly don't know what dealer to suggest but I'm sure someone will so come on guys. You know it makes sence girl. Thumbs Up

Hi foxy, sorry to hear your car is not right yet again i really would consider handing it back for good this time. How often do you really need to tow a horse box Question You've managed upto now without a towbar on you current model, If you really need a tow vehicle get yourself a defender for towing and a GTC for everyday use. Thumbs Up Or put a towbar on your mums XC90 Laughing But don't tell her i suggested it Thumbs Up
Your experiences with the LR product is really putting me off ordering a new one, i know they arn't all the same, but it makes you think twice.

Ok I wont be getting a toureg or a a6 all road. I feel the toureg is for those who really have no clue in the chosing of their car. I feel id have to slit my wrists if i went BMW or Audi a6. I dont really know what to do .

Im trying to come up with a letter to my dealer but every time i try to pen it i get writers block, because im too upset. Is this happening because after all I am a woman and someone who has been so poiite with their dealer. I honestly love going in their , they always make me feel at home and one of them. However, I can not physically and emotionaly carry on with this car.
So in my letter I want to say to them that I would like to reject the car and hope that they can find me some kind of alternative. And hope that they can understand where im coming from.

All this could have been avoided by the Service Manager Paul, if hed have not been a coward and called me back. Does he think cause Im a woman it doesnt matter and I wont complain. I never ever have used this card before, Ive dealt with business leaders and rulers across EMEA and never felt this. But he made me feel it today. His exact words on Monday were....."TRUST ME.... I promise it will be done to the highest standard possible. using a body shop in leeds to fix the paint." This will be the fith time its going in for the issue. Ive had it..... A shame as i loved my sport. But thats what Land rover does, you fall in love with the brand and cant live with it and cant live without it.

Thanks landrover, I feel like dumping it back on your doorstep

Your problem sounds very much like the dealer fault - change dealer?

As much as all the other do certain things...the RR or LR products are about the best at everything, not just one thing Mike

over the last 3 land rovers I've owned got to the point of looking at German 4x4s .. I've been really frustrated at times , particularly when i lost my D3 for over 3 weeks with a cruise control problem.... so thats why this time round i looked at all the alternatives (Touareg, X 3/X5, a6, Q5) .... but then i remembered the days when the Landie started at -18 deg c having been dug out of a snow drift or taken large groups in comfort and safety in the worst of the winter... and we bought another one .

I have a z4 for the summer ans you should hear some of the issues some guy's have had with paint finishes on them ... deep breath .. enjoy the evoque and then keep the RRS. 2011 MY- RRS HSE - Zermatt -Ebony-Piano .... its a monochrome world
