You "might" get an HDC error running the spare but nothing more.

What's up with the Range Rover Sport having a "space saver" when a Discovery 4 has a full size spare? 1999 Discovery II V8 auto |

Will a 20" wheel & tire not fit underneath the car then?

Don't panic!!!! Most early RRS have a 19" reduced speed wheel (black) as a spare. You will find that although the wheel size is 1" different, the actual rolling radius between the two would be similar as the 20" has a lower profile tyre. |
