The unit has 3 channels for TV or the like! The button is to switch them or have the camera on at all times!! It also does remote switch when put in reverse!! If it aint broke leave it!

so if im watching a dvd it on main screen it will come on?

The unit has a dedicated reversing cam feed input (plus the other 3 AV ones) and reversing light +12v feed which you connect to the reversing lights, this allows the unit to automatically switch the display to the reversing camera when reverse is selected.

Hi What type of camera did you use for this install??? was it a Cmos or CCD do you know if both work or will only one type be compatable?? Many Thanks Jetbags |

Both will work,but if you have a GVIF unit you will only need the ccd as the GVIF has a parking line option,I fitted a unit and camera on mine last week ,a great bit of kit |

does anyone know how or where to route the wires from the number plate reversing camera on the upper glass tailgate rrs.

Yes, there is only one way. Drill a small hole in the plastic where the number plate lights are and run the cable through it (you will have to cut the AV one)
