Take it to another main dealer who won't dismiss it as a non issue. Get it looked at and resolved asap is my advice. A clunking due to play can affect other components as I've learnt the hard way

This might be a daft question but do Land Rover pay for this work to be done,

had the ARB replaced by land rover and the noise is still there
embarrassingly, the garage handed the car back to me, happy that the sound was gone. only had to drive out of their parking lot to notice it's still there!

back in now, had dampers replaced but noise still there. now looking at steering bush i believe.... 07 TDV8 + BAS map

When you said "replaced ARB" - was it just the bushings ? I think the bushing would squeak when old - but it would have to be very worn for the roll bar itself to knock against the chassis mounting point ? Did you ask them to keep the old bushings to see their condition. I had a clunk coming from the front suspension in my BMW E46 - driving straight at 30-40MPH down uneven road. I saw an episode of wheeler/dealers where they replaced sway bar drop links to fix a similar problem. I purchased a couple of $18 Delphi drop links - had them installed - did the ARB bushings at the same time - and fixed the problem. Old bushings looked fine - and it was hard to tell how worn the drop links were - but if the bushing in there is worn - you will have metal to metal contact in the link - and this will cause a knocking noise. I think those parts are cheap on the RRS too - and should be replaced (on standard - not active system at least) - not just the roll bar bushings themselves.

I think noise from worn control arm bushings is different - clunk if you slam on brakes from low speed (for example)

You guys that have had this done successfully and now have a perfectly quiet car, how much did you pay for this fix?

Has no one else had these issues since the last thread some years ago? I have an annoying clunking which no one can seem to find, in fact the 3 garages I've tried here in Hampshire UK have very little interest and just shrug their shoulders.

There are dozens of suspension/front end knocking threads on here, i know form reading most of them to find the right fix for my car which I’m pleased to say is now silent (well for a few months anyway!)
What year and model RRS do you have and do you have the ACE option (hydraulic anti roll bars) fitted?

I too have only had mine for a few months and it had the knocking when I purchased it, I had receipts to prove the car had new lower wishbones arms complete with bushes and new front ARB bushes fitted a few months prior but the knocking was still present. So after much research on here and other forums I then had the suspension drop links replaced and all other bushes checked by a LR indie for play but the knocking was still present, so I continued to search for an answer and found the latest technical bulletin LTB00241NAS5 issued in March 2013 so right at the end of production.
I then purchased genuine JLR parts as listed in the bulletin and had the work completed as specified and the knocking has now gone, this did mean removing and renewing the ARB bushes again which were less than 6 months old but I didn't know if these were genuine parts so did it anyway as for parts that take such a hammering I don't believe that cheaper options work/last.
Checking what I changed against your list it is very similar, with the Dynamic Response System and ACE you seem to always get a level of knocking from the hydraulics operating so removing the body mounted dampers removes a path for the noise into the cabin, the mass absorbers then reduce the transfer of any noise further by supressing/absorbing it and installing the new ARB bush brackets and bushes removes the source of the knocking until they begin to wear again which is likely to be 6-12 months based on what I have seen across the forums.
If I was you I would start with the technical bulletin as the cost is fairly low and have the suspension drop links done at the same time (£20 each) then if that doesn't fix it you will need to move onto the other items on your list which will be more costly.
Personally I bought the mass absorbers and new upgraded ARB brackets on Fleabay for about £60 (all genuine parts) and then the bushes form Island 4x4 £28 each and had my local indie install them (couple of hours work) but I know that many garages wont install customer supplied parts so you may need to have them buy it all for you. Lee

Lee, thats brilliant thank you. Yo have given me somewhere to start and I've downloaded the bulletin, priced the parts and have someone looking at it who is a Range Rover specialist on Thursday.
I've explained the bulletin and have asked them to check those parts so I really am hopeful and I appreciate that advice. I will let you know the outcome.
