Are the Stormer wheels on a RRS lug centric or hub centric? |

..just when you thought you knew pretty much everything ... along comes a question like this and you realise that there is still a HUGE amount yet to learn. Aren't all wheels centric around their centre ?

Although I don't own a set, I'd be surprised if the 20" OEM wheels - whether standard issue or Stormers - were not hub centric. The Sport being so sensitive to vibrations with less than perfectly balanced wheels, it would be strange for LR to supply lug centric rims, regardless of wheel style. Both my original 19" 5-spokers and 18" rims I use for off-roading are hub centric (makes sense since the 18s came off a Disco/LR3 and the hubs are the same as the Sport's.) My aftermarket Cargraphic are not, but the manufacturer provided aluminum centering rings to "make" them hub centric... Not sure about 22" Stormer replicas, but I would almost be willing to bet that the OEM Stormer wheels are hub centric. |
