I would say not, my average tank range is about 600-700K's so about right i would say, that was on a very long journey which initially was on predominantly dual carriage way and the speed limits are alot lower here
Be thankful you have roads, some of the ones out here are pretty scary for major trunk routes Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

I arrived back in Melbourne from my business trip last night. Drove from the Airport to the City then down here to the Mornington Peninsula. Used a light foot, cruise control on the freeway, and stuck more or less to the speed limit. distance around 130km. Average consumption during the trip showed best at 8.0l/100km and worst 8.3l/100km. As I pulled into the garage it was 8.0l/100km. That's 34.0 to 35.1 mpg in UK units.....gotta be happy with that. |

Gees did you have the lead removed from your right foot... Best i got so far was 8.8l/100k on the trip to canberra and back..it got down to 8.1 at times... I am sure you might see colder weather in MEL or in the UK...but the temp display went down to 1 degree and the "ext" turned into a snow flake... door seals were replaced...but now i have discovered another problem, the indicator does go off after having been on the right position for a lane change and manual flick back to the centre, the left goes on and doesnt go off....minor but a little annoying and can confuse those small cars when they are being passed.... Obviously you need to factor in the average speed and your driving style.. If you're doing a mainly freeway/mororway jaunt with almost no stops then I have found it's easy to get bewteen 8ltr and 8.5 ltr per hundred Km when you resent the computer during or before starting the trip. As soon as city/town driving comes into play I find that it's back up to mid 9's. |

If tales of daily use and economy bore you then select another topic to read......I just thought I would give an update on my experiences so far with my RRS.

Well after my polite negotiations with LR Australia and due to the list of faults with my Stornoway Grey RRS, my replacement car is coming on Saturday. MY 2009 TDV6 Buckingham Blue with Almond, sat nav, 19" wheels. sun roof, tow pack, folding mirrors, don't know what else till she arrives.
