Mystery Solved. It was a crook wheel bearing (front left).
The service people were actually very good. They picked up on handbrake noise and cleaned and adjusted rather than replacing the mechanism.

| Regardless of tyre, i always go for the max load pressure recommendation. Slightly hard ride, much better handling and wear. |
