Bad news 
EPB needs replacing. Flack came down to service the car so the trip wasn't totally wasted. Not disappointed with his work though, the car is running very well now! |

As subject states, the EPB locked and the only solution was to pull the emergency release. My indie reckons this always means you need a new EPB unit (plus 2 days labour to fit).
